My name is Vanessa, and I'm a Bay Area writer with a baseball problem.

I am a graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign College of Media, a copywriter by trade, a social media strategist by virtue of always striving to be liked, and a baseball blogger because - let's be honest - I spend nearly seven months of the year in a stadium.

I work at LocBox in San Francisco, where I write engaging, relatable web copy for small businesses. My motto? If you want them to friend your brand, write more like a friend and less like a brand! Creating and curating multimedia content - blogs, tweets, videos and photos - that entertain with purpose is my passion, and views, retweets and referrals fuel my fire.

As for the baseball problem, after traveling to Arizona with the MLB Fan Cave this spring, it's finally starting to pay off. This season, I am a contributing baseball writer for eDraft Sports and More Than a Fan, and I co-host "Ladies Night," a radio show and podcast on eDraft Radio. My special areas of interest within the game are scouting, player development, advanced metrics and fantasy baseball, as well as some more lighthearted pieces on fan culture.
